What is the TCF Youth Mentor Program

This is a program designed for all young people who want to become the best version of themselves.

For 20 weeks our mentors work with program participants to develop their mental and physical fitness in the lead up to an incredible final experience.

The project is what brings the process to life - This is where the lessons and skills gained over the 20 weeks of mentoring come into play and our young people get to see how much they’ve grown and what they can achieve if they focus and support one another.

If you or someone you know would like to be involved in the next program, keep an eye out for our Expressions of Interest process opening again later in the year.

We operate across five regions (Queanbeyan, Braidwood, Goulburn, Crookwell and Canberra), running separate, local 20-week Youth Mentor Program groups before all meeting at the chosen location.

Our volunteer mentors are often teachers, social workers or other passionate individuals from the focus regions who offer our youth a range of perspectives and types of support throughout the process.

We also collaborate with services like PCYC and Headspace to deliver this program

2025 TCF Youth Mentor Program

In 2025, the Terry Campese Foundation Youth Mentor Program proudly delivered a major community project in Tonga. Together, 40 young people, mentors, and builders worked side by side to:

  • Construct a library and computer hub

  • Build a basketball court

  • Renovate GMS Mu’a School

This project not only strengthened the local community in Tonga but also gave our young people invaluable experience in teamwork, leadership, and giving back.
